1.  The “Signature Estate Teatime snack Cooking Contest with Tara Deshpande – Submit your original tea-time snack recipe to win fabulous prizes and hampers” is open to residents of India aged 18 years or over except employees of Signature Tea Estates and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organization or anyone judging the competition.
2. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary to enter this competition.
3. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. The contestant must post a clear, original and visually appealing picture of their recipe and the entire recipe on their own personal facebook page and also at  this link http://www.taradeshpande.in/signature-estates-teatime-snack-cooking-contest
7. The contestant must use these 2 tags in their photo post either on facebook / instagram / facebook and instagram:  for facebook use  #signatureteas and @TaraDeshpandeOfficial for instagram #signatureteas and @deshpandetara otherwise you will be disqualified
8. It can be a savoury or sweet snack traditionally served as an accompaniment to any kind of tea e.g.  Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Kashmiri Kahwa, Masala Chai, Chamomile  tea.  Your recipe could also contain tea flavors and colors. Suggestions for tea-time snacks include cookies, cakes, biscuits, Farsan, finger sandwiches, mini snacks (not cocktail party snacks), fritters, pakoras, traditional Indian foods and  global foods served with afternoon tea
9. Recipes that are main courses, cocktail snacks, salads, breakfast or luncheon items will be disqualified.
10. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same contestant will lead to disqualification.
11. Contest entries begins 7th Oct and Closing date for entries will be 30 Oct-2018, 10 pm IST . After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
12. The winners will be announced on 4th Nov-2018 through the Tara Deshpande Official Facebook page and the @deshpandetara Instagram account.
13. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received or incorrect entries.
14. The promoter – Tara Deshpande – reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
15. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
16. No plagiarism will be tolerated and will result in disqualification.

Judging Criteria

1. Taste of final product – your recipe must work when we test it and must taste good.
2. Visual appeal – The final dish must present well and the original photo you submit should also be appealing.
3. Creativity, novelty and originality.
4. All recipes should be original. We recommend old family recipes, dishes from various parts of India and the world.
5. Practical – Your recipe should be something that would appeal to cooks – a dish they should want to recreate. If the ingredients are too hard to find or if the dish requires expensive cookware this may discourage potential home cooks from experimenting with your recipe. Be creative but also be practical.
6. Winners will be informed by a Facebook messenger. We may request your address to mail you your gifts should you live outside Mumbai.

1. The prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
2. Winners will be chosen by Tara Deshpande.
3. The winner will be notified by Private Message on Facebook. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and pick a replacement winner. The promoters are not responsible for the durability, quality or warranties of any of the prize items.
4. The promoter’s decision in respect to all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
